
Trend Micro, a name to reckon with, has now updated its services such as online backup and storage for its users by launching additional datacenter in the Europe for the organizations that adhere to the laws of the protection of data in the territory.
Trend Micro’s SafeSync service is the one that can safely be linked with the iCloud (by Apple) or Dropbox. The service has been launched for the companies or business houses. It consists of a sync function, which lets a number of users working on the similar data.
The statement issued by the company says that the clients for SafeSync will enjoy the privilege by getting their data stored in the data centers of Europe, which are in Germany. This way the organizations will automatically adhere to the privacy legislation of Europe. Earlier the data centers of SafeSync were placed in America.
Mick Paddington, the product manager at Trend Micro, expressed that this new launch i9s was for the clients’ ease of access and security.
In May, Trend Micro had initiated SafeSync and its focus lies on the firms consisting of ten to twenty workers. The technology used in SafeSync has been bought via its buying of the cloud storage company of Leeds called Humyo in June 2010. This firm had initiated its customer version of SafeSync way back in September 2010.
The latest statement issued by Trend says that the clients, who experience the poor service of SafeSync 5.0 have, automatically be given the opportunity and benefits of the money-back service under the latest service agreement.
