iPhone5 – Apple’s New Promise

Are promises really made to be broken? Apple, after promising everyone that their new gadget the Iphone 5 will be released this year, disappointed many when their promise failed to happen. It’s like bursting a fantasy bubble; the world tasted the bitter reality that the Iphone 5 isn’t going to be in stores soon. The much awaited addition to the Iphone family which was promised by apple to many of their fans is a newer and more advanced in its design that will surpass the technologically advanced and state of the art Iphone4, many of Iphone5’s would be features will blow minds away. But as the date of its release become fainter and fainter, many Iphone fans got really dismayed. “Why promise us when they know it will not come true!” the expected sentiment of a disgruntled person. They promise a new look in Iphone design, a more advanced voice recognition system, more applications and greater processor power but all are just promises.

Though a broken promise really is disappointing, one must understand how the world works especially the world of advertising. Yes! This whole “Late release date of the Iphone 5” can be another way to promote the much awaited product. In advertising the more a product is being talked about the lengthier its lifespan is. So when any talk or comments about theIphone5 no matter how negative it is, is still advertisement and will help heighten the excitement as they delay its release date.  Its business and just plain old business.
