As anyone of you would probably do, our customer tried to replace the battery by himself. We have witnessed many cases, where this approach only leads to more problems than they were in a first place. Therefore, we performed a full diagnostic of the device and we found out the he has purchased a low quality replacement battery. We quickly understood that there is no actual problem with the charging board of the iPhone, but simply with the battery itself. The only thing we did was to replace the old battery with an original Apple battery instead. This solved the charging problem immediately.
The second issue with the iPhone was due to its Home button. The only procedure we had to perform was to replace the button with a new one. Unfortunately, Apple phones take a bit longer to be disabled and then put back together. The reason is that we needed to dissemble the phone to work with the home button connection. Therefore, an extreme care must be taken when disconnecting all the flex cables at they are very sensitive and easy to tear apart.
Repairing battery and home button faults are very common in our office in Bournemouth. That is why we are used to delivering the phones back in the same day, which further satisfies our customers. All and all, it took us approximately three hours to finish those repairs and our customer was very happy with the fast and successful result.
