
England’s cyber security is in need of protection from the cyber criminals. The rising disinterest in cyber studies amongst the youth has become a matter of concern. The government is all set to launch Cyber strategy and according to Lady Neville-Jones the deficit of cyber professional faced by Britain will take some time to resolve.
Lady Neville-Jones is England’s special representative to cyber security. Elaborating on plans to make cyber studies a subject of curiosity, she pointed out that it should be made an integral part of general education.
A recent survey revealed that 90% of the organizations, due to lack of availability of cyber skills, are finding it hard to fill vacant positions. The fear of compromising quality is high. Stressing the need of quality and quantity both Baroness Lady Neville Jones mentioned that measures are to be taken to make cyber studies a reliable profession. Lately, dearth of recognition has caused some apprehension regarding it.
A certification structure for “information assurance professionals” by GCHQ’s Communications-Electronics Security Group aims at aiding organizations employ people possessing accurate skills for the jobs. Also, the Department of Business Innovation and Skills is trying to assess the requirement level in private sector for cyber security professionals.
It is worth noting that England is already exhausting a large part of its money online. This clearly shows as how the web or internet has become an inseparable part of every British household.
