We started right away with the phone diagnostic procedure and once we disassembled the phone, we noticed there was spilled liquid inside. Generally, spilling a liquid is one of the worst things you can do to your phone, tablet or laptop. But with this phone the client was very lucky, because most of the liquid fell between the screen and its metal back and none of it reached the logic board. There were some wet spots still on the casing as well as close to the battery, but none on the connectors.
We cleaned the phone thoroughly, before changing the screen. Because the front camera of the phone is attached to the screen, we needed to be really careful when changing the old broken screen with the new one. On top of that, the home button of this precise model is not just attached to the screen, but there is a flex cable connecting it to the logic board as well. During the whole process, we were extremely cautious with a strong attention to the smallest detail. After the phone was cleaned, we tested it and continued with the assembling. With the brand new screen and the in-depth cleaning, the phone became as good as new.
Our client was more than happy that she chose us to fix her iPhone 5s, because it took us only an hour and fifteen minutes to complete the repair in the best way possible.
