Adobe to stop Flash for Cell Phones

The recent news has just arrived meaning a total shock for the IT and gadget fans, being published on the tabloids of IT related UK sites: Adobe wants to stop dealing with Flash for cell phones. Abode’s special Flash was announced only recently meant to be a big hit on especially the Android system Smartphones yet this seems to stop now.

So, what’s the reason behind this sudden decision?

According to many, the main reason standing behind the decision of Adobe is Apple’s decision according to which Apple’s products will continue not to support Adobe Flash on their devices namely iPod and iPod phone, iPad and the Apple Mac Book. Apple says that Adobe seems to dramatically slow down the overall capacity of a device and that it offers too many possibilities for bugs to occur. Although this theory is strictly denied by Adobe’s management, the facts stay the same: Apple, the worlds most successful ever IT product empire does not need Adobe Flash.

This might mean a big change for all the Smartphone manufacturers who were counting on Flash in their devices. However Adobe will offer an alternative.

In order to support the decision Adobe’s president Danny Winokur has already released his official declaration that there will be no more support for  built-in Adobe Flash namely within the browser of mobile devices.  During this time, according to Winokur, Adobe will concentrate on the development of Adobe AIR to help Flash professionals to further produce Adobe enabled apps in the apps stores. Of course this step of Adobe doesn’t mean that it will get out of the mobile business.

Adobe is to concentrate on HTML5. As they say the HTML5 has the best potentials now on the market for the designing of cell phone platforms and for working on the browsers’ content.
