Vip-Consult brings you great discounts on quality reconditioned and refurbished laptops. To save you time, we have compiled a list of our most Frequently Asked Questions about our refurbished products below:
What are quality "refurbished" laptops?
-
Whenever a retail store or consumer opens the box of a product and it is not purchased, it cannot be sold as new. The item is then shipped back to the store to be "reconditioned."
-
An item purchased by a consumer and returned for any reason - perhaps the product did not work or the consumer simply changed their mind about wanting it, whether it's the very next day or a month later - is sent back to the shop to be "reconditioned."
-
Some items, called "scratch and dents" have been returned to the shop with visible cosmetic wear and tear.
What does Vip-Consult do to recondition products?
Once returned to the shop, the item is checked completely to ensure it meets ALL specifications, before it is quality tested AGAIN! Items that were returned after minimal use are cleaned and sanitized, items that were opened may be repackaged. All items are returned to like-new condition.
Have reconditioned laptops ever been used?
Some laptops may have been used for a very short period of time, some have not been used at all. But rest assured that all "shop-reconditioned" products have gone through two, or even three, quality checks to ensure that they are as good as new.
Do reconditioned products come in different packaging?
Some items will arrive in their original retail box. Some items may be repackaged in a plain brown or white box. Please be aware that any enclosed manuals may refer to accessories (e.g., chords, cases or straps) that are not included with the reconditioned product.
What makes a factory-reconditioned item such an excellent purchase?
-
Refurbished means high quality.
-
The price you pay for a refurbished item is always much lower than at retail, usually at least 40% cheaper.
-
Every reconditioned item you purchase is usually (although not always) still covered by a manufacturer’s guarantee.
