Whenever someone tells you by phone or by email the imminent disconnection of your services if you don’t pay your bills immediately and offer you a chance to pay by credit card for your convenience, this is a scam and we must be aware of it.

They will ask for details like your bank accounts, personal details and such. Never succumb to their tactics, they are fishing details from you, never give them detailed information of yourself. Always bear in mind that  Service providers are big business with a lot of organized people and when a group of organized people get together to manage a company, you should expect an organized group, Delivery of bills will be organized also. To point the gun back at those scammers, ask them the details of your billing statements, your account number or any information that the company normally know, if they say they don’t know ask them why! And in no time they will hang up with deep frustration.

The basic rule is you don’t win if you don’t join any contest, your services won’t be cut off if you’ve paid them already and you must not give any information to anyone unless 100 percent trustworthy, Stick to this and you’ll be immune to scammers.
